What it does
Hydraluxe Shampoo is Step 1, the Cleansing Phase, of the Hydraluxe hydration protocol. Powered by sugar beet derived amino acids, its AminoShield Cleanse helps cleanse without stripping the fibre, retaining moisture and preserving the hair's natural softness and shine while preparing it for Step 2.
Key actives (as on the label)
- Betaine, sugar beet derived amino acid, osmolyte
- Trehalose, humectant
- Acacia Senegal (Gum Arabic) Extract, film-forming biopolymer
- Sodium PCA, humectant
Contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate: this is not a sulphate-free formula.
When to use it
As Step 1 of the full Hydraluxe protocol, immediately after Prime D-Tox and before Moisture Infusion (Step 2), on hair that reads dry, porous or dull and needs hydration.
How to use it
- Apply to wet hair and scalp.
- Massage gently for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Rinse thoroughly.
- Proceed to Step 2, Moisture Infusion.
What not to do
- Professional use only.
- Do not treat as a general clarifying shampoo outside the routine: its role is preparing the fibre for the hydration steps that follow.
- Avoid contact with eyes; rinse with water if it happens.
- Discontinue and consult a dermatologist if an allergic reaction occurs.
The system
Hydraluxe
Hydraluxe is Piur London's professional hydration line: it exists for fibre that is dry, porous or opaque, hair that keeps taking product without ever feeling replenished, whether or not it carries a chemical history.
The protocol carries sugar beet derived amino acids and trehalose through the cortex, cuticle and surface in three layers, opens with a botanical chelating step that lifts metal ions and hard water mineral residue, and closes with a leave-in seal carrying heat and UV protection.
In the chair, read the fibre for build-up first, then run the four steps in phase order, purify, cleanse, infuse, seal, rinsing thoroughly after each of the first three steps and finishing with a light hand on the Balm, because it is the one step that is never rinsed out.
Her hair feels hydrated and still moves.
The four Hydraluxe steps form one closed hydration protocol, Prime D-Tox through Balm, but Prime D-Tox also stands on its own: in a hard water city like London, it is the pre-colour or pre-chemical detox that keeps a later service from turning out uneven, sold as a step even outside the full Hydraluxe sequence.

Your Hydraluxe protocol
Prime D-Tox, BioChelate Reset System
5 to 10 minutesA botanical pre-treatment with ginger and marine algae that helps remove metal ions, mineral build-up and impurities while preserving the hair's natural lipid barrier, evening out porosity before the hydration steps that follow.
Apply evenly to damp hair, rinse thoroughly, then proceed to Step 1.
Hydraluxe Shampoo, AminoShield Cleanse
3 to 5 minutesPowered by sugar beet derived amino acids, this professional shampoo cleanses without stripping the fibre, helping retain moisture and preserve the hair's natural softness and shine.
Apply to wet hair and scalp, massage gently, rinse thoroughly, then proceed to Step 2.
Moisture Infusion, Silky Beetonic System
10 to 15 minutesSugar beet derived amino acids work with a cationic conditioning matrix to deliver deep, weightless hydration through the cortex, cuticle and surface, improving softness and manageability without weighing the hair down.
Apply evenly to damp lengths and ends, off the scalp. A gentle heat source may be used if the protocol calls for it. Rinse thoroughly, then proceed to Step 3.
A lightweight leave-in balm that smooths the cuticle, seals in the hydration of Steps 0 to 2, and helps protect against heat, UV exposure and humidity.
Apply evenly to damp or dry hair, concentrating on lengths and ends. Do not rinse. Finish as desired.
